Rachel Marshall is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC, NCC) specializing in trauma and PTSD. She has over 15 years of post-licensure experience in private practice. She recently developed her very own treatment modality "Mind/Brain Retethering Technique".
Rachel created the MBR modality after realizing she was having unprecedented success healing people with Treatment-Resistant PTSD. Most of us know that there is no known “cure” for PTSD but Rachel has certainly cracked the code to this debilitating disease and is now offering this promising potential to others so they can experience the magic that takes place when she applies her method to her clientele. Rachel believes that all humans have the capacity to heal and would like to further investigate how to "retether" the closed off compartments of the brain to the conscious mind through development of neuroplasticity and the neural rewiring that takes place when treating her private practice clients in MBR. . Come, learn more, and most importantly join her on this journey of total and complete healing.
MBRI (Mind Brain Retethering Institute)
Recently, Rachel founded the non-profit Mind Brain Retethering Institute (MBRI) to accomplish a long held dream to offer research and sponsored treatment for her modality to veterans and sufferers of Treatment Resistant PTSD that may not otherwise have access to her modality. At the institute, she works with individuals she has coined as “hyper-adaptors”™ to advance her innovative mental health modality. MBRI is set to begin offering services in early 2026, Initially, the Institute will offer free trials to qualified participants, while also investigating the model’s effectiveness across various populations such as in her work with Peak Performance Enhancement . Rachel is currently training the first two clinicians in her method and developing a certification program to expand clinician access. Her newest board members, research, and clinical staff include world leaders in Neuroscience, Ecology, and Clinical Practice. Her goal by year two is to found a scientific research journal to advance her modality and eventually support scientifically based research on "rethering" the brain through neuroplasticity and neural rewiring.
Book Release
Currently, Rachel is also working on her book “The Summer that I Healed (and Why all of the Answers to Healing Can be Found in the Wizard of OZ) ” that will launch Oct 31st, 2025. In the book, Rachel takes the audience on a journey using allegories from her own life and healing journey through her own Treatment Resistant PTSD. Using her life story, she will also share about her model, the history of how it all came together, and will hopefully inspire others who have lost hope that their situation is beyond repair.

In the book, Rachel takes the audience on a journey using allegories from her own life and healing journey through her own severe PTSD. Using her life story, she will also share about her model, the history of how it all came together, and will hopefully inspire others who have lost hope that their situation is beyond repair.
Rachel is currently collaborating with Iron Mermaid Films on the development of a feature-length movie that explores Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. The film centers on an international hero’s journey of healing through this powerful therapeutic model, which has not only shaped the narrative of the project but also served as a key inspiration for some of Rachel’s own modality work in the mental health field.
